What should I do with the digital copies of my images?
Most photographers will provide you with an electronic version of your images, even if you decide not to order any prints. It’s important to make sure that these files are kept in a safe place (or several safe places). Typically, your photographer will keep the digital images on file for around a year, and they are usually accessible online for a minimum of 90 days. It’s highly recommended to keep your photos on your computer, on a backup hard drive, a few different memory cards and a DVD. This ensures that your photos are never lost, regardless of a computer crash or in the worst-case scenario, a fire or flood in your home.
