How do I properly take care of fresh cut flowers?
Fresh cut flowers need to be kept wet constantly in order to preserve their appearance. Make sure the water is clean and contains flower food. Another very important step is to make sure that the vase is clean and disinfected before the flowers are put in, as any bacteria will enter into the stem and prevent it from absorbing water.
It is best to remove dead leaves and foliages as soon as you see them to lengthen the flower's life span. Every few days you should also re-cut the stems at an angle to ensure that they are absorbing water and nutrients. Also make sure to keep the flowers out of direct sunlight as this will dry them out and cause early wilting.
